This Veteran’s Day, we are bringing you the heartwarming story of Ray Weser, a 101 year old United States Veteran and life-long motorcycle enthusiast from Arizona, who took his last Harley ride with a group of 50 motorcycles riding right behind him to honor him. Ray will turn 102 years old next month, and fell in love with bikes – specifically Harley Davidson’s – when he was just a teenager, many years ago. He went off to war shortly after discovering his love for motorcycles, but that never got in the way of his undying love and devotion toward his Harley.
The combat Veteran worked for Harley Davidson for an amazing 24 years, so when the community heard that his final ride was approaching, they sprung into action. Members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and Grand Canyon Harley-Davidson all came together to organize Weser’s final ride through Prescott Valley, AZ, making it one he will remember forever. His last wish for old age was to ride a Harley once more, as he knew physically he was unable to continue riding on his own – and that wish more than came true.
