The Toys for Tots Organization, in connection with the US Marines, kicked off the holiday season on two wheels on Sunday, October 23, 2016 in Albuquerque, NM with the annual Toys For Tots Motorcycle Run. Over 1,300 bikes participated in the run, raising much needed funds to support the Toys for Tots mission this year. The ride began at the Walmart at 460 Nm Hwy, #528 in Bernalillo, NM, and stretched nearly 20 miles to Thunderbird Harley Davidson at 5000 Alameda Boulevard Northeast, in Albuquerque, NM – where the after party of the run was held. I, being the luckiest gal on Earth, was able to participate in the run – my first ever – and I’ve got exclusive photos and videos from the event to share, right here. Special thanks to my good friend Alan for giving me the opportunity to participate with him in the run!
The sound of the thunder headers pulling into the Bernalillo Walmart invoked such an exciting presence to me as I pulled into the parking lot, eager and ready to register for my first ever motorcycle run. I recently just rode a bike for the first time, within the last three or so months, so to be able to say that I got to do a motorcycle run, is astounding to me. It’s an experience I will not soon forget, and I was able to support a very important organization with such an amazing cause in the process.
