Home
Today we pushed out a major update to the BON platform.
These updates are always a tricky processes. New features can work fine during the testing phase but when pushed out live can reveal some problems.
We are in the process of converting our code to a more stable and robust platform that will allow give us room to grow.
Please use the comments section to let us know what features are suddenly not working. We will work as quickly as possible to get reported issues resolved.

Wish I could answer this BUT, now BON will not let me on AT ALL!!! I have used all my passwords and still NOTHING. NOT even the option for BON to send my password to my email to help me out!!!! Jeez!!!!!!!!!!

Trying to update my garage with photos and descriptions and can not get anything to upload in either IE 7 or AVANTE, or Mozilla Netscape. All failed to update profile descriptions and upload photos.

I have had this problem for quite some time and just can’t figure it out. My comments say I have 10 all the time. I have gone through and deleted my entire feeds and looked at any picture comments. Can’t find what it is.. Is there a way to delete this, or reset it ??? Thanks

BON you added face book and that is not letting people sign on, or thery are restricted to there home page only, GROWTH, realy? try lowering your out rage!es prices to send mass mail, with in a 25 mile send to 2500 you want $198.00 are you out of your greedy mind. it cost nothing to alow members to mail all there friends at once. Due to spam i understand a fee, how about $5.00 to mail your friends list. $20.00 to mail your state and $10.00 per extra state, or $ 500.00 to mail every member. This will make alot more people send mail giving you more money then you are making now. I learned that 1st hand and in SBA class. my last advice is to listen to your members and users, if you”grow” your way, people will keep leaving, If you pride your self in member feed back and do as they wish, word of mouth will pay off and BON will sore! WIN-WIN or fail. pay attention, Im not blowing smoke up your rear.

Site will not “remember me” even though it is checked.You must enter “required info” each time you visit the page.
Can not purchase “more exposure” with BON BUCKS. The link is no longer seen on home page?

Ever since I signed up here, I always get an ERROR box pop up when I make comments on anybody’s status. It says: ERROR, Please try again later… But, my comment is posted anyway.

I changed my email, replied to the link to validate it and now I cant do anything. My original email seems to be still on the profile but I cant send messages, etc. The message on my home page says I need to validate my new email which I have done. No opportunity to do it manually either.

bon wont log me in automaticaly i have to keep adding stuff everytime i log in, and what happend to the ranking system as to who was ranked what it used to be there now it’s not, plus i cant get my comments count to read zero and i’ve cleared it and oppend all my comments. plus i cant get to anything but the home page nothing else is working. and some times only some of the photos of people will show up and some are blank.

Have to keep signing in even when box is checked to do so automatically. Where is the magnifying glass to click on. To see which of your friends is signed on ~ Picture profiles are to small to see

I use to be able to just point-n-click my way in. Now I have to go through all the sign-up process…each time. Not cool.
And, I do not want my BON affiliation connected w/ FaceBook. BON is where MY people are. FB is an entirely different matter; keep us separate.

Now that you changed everything I can not log on without having to re-type my address and password every time. Yes I checked the box that says “remember me”. Other problems come and go. Will monitor. By the way, Facebook has a lot of major problems on a regular basis. I hope your not joining them. I see they have thier logo next to the sign in area.

I keep getting a “3 new comments” notice when I click on Home, but when I check out my wall, there are no NEW comments. This has been happening on and off for the last week roughly.

When I go to view comments on the status updates only 5 out of the comments show up regardless of how many comments there are and when you hit the “show more” it is closing the comments on the status updates completely, wasn’t doing that before the update. Have a great day!

Yep, I’m with Rebel Rose…. the comments feature on everyone’s status updates are freaking out. I’m trying to follow and respond to a current thread, and the tally for comments keeps going up, but it’s only showing five and they’re random. When you click on “show more” it doesn’t…it closes the list. HELP!

First BON is not keeping my login info, have to type in each time, 2nd when you go to home to view everyone’s status when you scroll down if you hit bottom it clicks back to 4 hours ago and will not let you get to the new ones till you go to a different page then back to home but again if you go down to the bottom it clicks over again! so the last 2-3 you can not read till they are 4 hours old? good luck on getting the bugs out, take care……. This isn’t a new issue, but my screen says I have 4 comments and has for months. It’s when someone sends you a comment then deletes their profile…so we can never access the “ghost comments” but it still shows on the home page that we have comments. If you can, please correct that.

Why does it show that I have 18 Unread Comments?
I have clicked on EVERY Feed Page post that I have made, and when I return to the main page it still shows that I have 18 Unread Comments.
New comments make that number increase, as I have 1 new comment right now, it currently says I have 19 Unread Comments.
For the longest time it did the same thing, only continually saying that I have 5 Unread Comments, now it is up to 18.
What gives?
This has been going on since BEFORE this latest BoN software update.

Why can we not remove one of our own comments to another persons post. Sometimes we make errors and it would be nice to be able to correct them without having to make a follow up comment and explanation.

Keep losing feeds and then others are there one minute and then vanish!! Also can no longer hide feeds from certain people who monopolize the feed section like a forum so i ended up having to delete a friend to view other friend’s comments!!

It took me forever to log on with my password, eventually it did take it. Once in BON, I thought I’d change my password to a new password. So I entered the password that I used and it told me it was invalid? So if you would be so kind to email me exactly what my password is so I can change it so it will work. Prior I clicked the little box to “remember” and when I logged on this evening it had disappeared to all blank boxes and for the life of me I kinda forgot what my original password was. Whatever I typed in worked just “ONE” time. Thank you!

When using the full site option from my mobile phone scrolling through the feed it will jump to 4 hours prior feeds and not allow me to see current feeds until I reload the page.

Last evening on my home PC when I tried to login, I could not enter my user name and password.
Issue might be resolved, since I was able to login from a different computer today.
the login screen would come up for a few seconds then go to a blank page.
It had a “Done” in the lower left corner, and in the address bar it said some info fragment

When signing on to the BON website, the “remember me” function, which negates the need to fill in the e-mail address and password every time you enter the site, does not work at all. Every time I sign in, I’m now required to fill out the necessary info …which is really a PAIN IN THE ASS! Thank you.

I have been trying for two days to get on BON and nothing. I know my passwrd and id so that is not an issue………… I get the site to pull up and poof it goes all white. I dont even have time to log in. 2x by accident I got on then when I go to get on again same ol thing happens.

the person at BON tech I emaile just kept sending me my password and saying use another browser. THAT IS NOT THE ISSUE. I didnt have a prob before with my browsers and all my other sites work fine.

Every time I try to login, I get a pop up box thats reads,
“Please check to see if you filled out all the required fields.”
And on another browser a pop up box that reads,
“The page at new.bikerornot.com says:

I have tried to login using other browsers as well with no luck.

When clicking links to read msgs, comments or view profiles, I always get returned to my home page. This makes reading msgs and comments impossible to do at this time. And what’s with pages taking a mind of their own and opening up out of the blue?

Won’t allow me to log in! Been trying to log in since 2pm CST and it’s now 9pm CST. Keeps telling me that I have the wrong email address and wrong password. I’ve been on BON almost 2yrs, never had trouble before and have never changed my password yet it won’t accept it now.
PLEASE email me a solution to the problem because I don’t want to have to start a new account. All the friends I’ve made will be extremely upset if they can’t get ahold of me any longer. I’ll have no way of finding them again because we’re on a first name basis and I’ve forgotten the handle they use.

It would be nice to have emails to tech support and admin answered in a timely matter, sometimes there is no response at all although I have had replies in the past and I appreciate it. It increases loyalty and confidence in the site.
I would like to see the egift feature either be useful or do away with it. I like sending a little something special at holidays and birthdays.
I want the birthday list to remain, its a great BON feature.
I agree that the mass email list should be an affordable option, or better yet FREE. And with some provision that we would not be marked as spammers, maybe a code or something.
I am in favor of making the site better but don’t make it too commercial or complicated.

should of never merged with Facebook. Could of left it up to us wether we wanted to go through facebook isnt one site enough??? My BON is still very messed up and considering leaving the site. Wonder how many others feel the same. One would think after a few days it would of been fixed. But features such as HIDE has never returned therefore we have to go though pages and pages of status updates of ALL our friends to get to the most recient.

Since the update I cant login to bon… On Thursday at around 9pm I was able to login.. But now I cant anymore. What is going on & when will it be fixed.

Remember me on log-in still not working and clicking show more in a post collapses the thread instead of showing more comments. Looks like you guy have really got the site AFU, hope you fix it soon.

1) Since the upgrade the ‘remember me’ feature is not working for login.

Your Changes SUCK!! I understand why you did them but the following is getting so annoying I and others are thinking of leaving.
1. popup ad’s in the corner of the screen
2. never remembers your login name or password
3. other members have been lock out of their account
4. no contact admins on the home page to help those locked out
5. cant see when my friends have birthdays anymore
This is just the start. I have not had time to go through the rest of the site to see what else is wrong. I really hope you get this fixed and soon. I have been telling many about this site. I would hate to tell them to stay FAR AWAY from it.

1. The Notifications counts will not clear. Been doing this for a long time & it’s annoying.
2. Can’t post new pics in Albums
3. Birthday reminders are gone.
4. BON is BON. Facebook is facebook. Most of us want it to stay that way. If we want a FB friend to join BON, we’ll send them a request on out own.
5. Would like to be able to get rid of some local events that we are not interested in seeing every single day, cluttering things up.
6. Poor Admin assistance. Maybe we have to just switch to FB entirely if BON can’t be fixed.

AND NOW…since your merge with facebook my facebook is messing up Keyrist on a crutch nothing like taking the pleasure of all that you people with sites offer away from what was already ok…Ever here the term” If it isnt broke, why fix it?” Not everyone in the world has a facebook page and if they do , whats the problem of logging onto that normally and why force a site on someone who maybe does not want it. You have suceeded on making login on YOUR site quite a chore to some , and takes great effort to get around the BON site for many.
Although I must say the HIDE button is back finally but where is the EDIT HIDDEN. Once we hide status’s to keep the numerous pages of old status’s showing up page after page one HIDDEN now we cannot EDIT the HIDDEN. So now they are permenently HIDDEN until its fixed.
Day 3 still all messed up.
It is more effective to update a site by shutting down until all updates and changes have been made…I for one do not mind waiting for a site to come back onto the server for major changes . Less bugs that way. But what do I know I dont run YOUR site.
Ive been on bon since it came online and I have refused to go on other Biker Lifestyle sites because I was satisfied with this one …
The disappointment has now set in.

cant upload ANY pictures by creating a New album. 1. It will not save log-in information when you check off “remember me”.
2. Still shows that you have new comments after you have viewed them. Even if you clear the posts under “feed”, it still shows that you have new comments.
3. If I log-in from my Blackberry to the home page, the bar that includes HomeProfile, Fan Pages, Chat, Friends, Garage, Messages,PhotosBlogs, GroupsRides is missing. The bar above that is also missing, so you can’t search, etc. Those 2 bars do show up on my PC and used to show up on the Blackberry.

Unable to stay logged on/ return to home page w/out logging back in/ multiple log-in errors, all since the update was pushed. I realize debugging is expensive and time consuming but get real. People are relying on this site for more than just social contact.

James you’ve got some MAJOR problems, viruses, malware or whatever Facebook gave you, you’ve spread to us. IF I’m lucky enough to get logged on, I can’t make comments, if I’m lucky again enough to even see them in the first place. Pages hang forever, usually resulting in manual shut down to get rid of it. You place an advertising feed and everything else goes POOF!..sometimes as far away as 3 to 4 days prior. The weekend rides & events are still up, but who cares now, they were blocked out before, WHO KNEW! The FUN is GONE here & the precious Facebook is having even more problems than BON is..but Who Cares about FB anyway? You’re going to lose us, there’s too many other biker sites that work. I’ll bet your advertisers really love the progress this site has given them for their money…NOT!

When I attempt to view my comments, the comments page starts to load and then I get re-directed back to the home page before I can finish reading the comments. I also have 4 ghost comments that won’t go away, even if I delete everything under my feed.

When I clicked on one specific user I got a pop-up. The next time I just happened to see that user in Who’s on Line listing the pop-up came again.

Show more button in a feed still not working. When you click on a feed’s show comments button, comments will open. If it shows “5 of 15″ comments there is a show more button. If you click that button, instead of showing more comments it just collalses the whole feed and takes you back to the home page. This sure makes it difficult to follow an entire conversation. This has been going on since the “great update”. Why did we need a Facebook link anyway? If I wanted granny and aunt Martha and all my other facebook friends to join me on BoN, I would have invited them.

When I go to view comments on the status updates only 5 out of the comments show up regardless of how many comments there are and when you hit the “show more” it is closing the comments on the status updates completely, wasn’t doing that before the update. Have a great day!

Only get one page of status updates on the home page that are current. If you click more it skips to about 12 hours prior or more and you are unable to see friends status updates that happened between that time.

Home page status and updates are only an 1 hr long after that it skips back to 24 hrs prior on statuses and you can’t see any friends updates between that time!.

I added 2 events and they are not showing up on the homepage on the right hand side under “Events Near You”. They do show up on the events page and they do show up under my profile that I am attending…so I know it was submitted properly. With the event pages…when you join the event or post a comment, it no longer shows in your feed. That was a great way for your friends to see what events are out there and where friends could meet up.

I cannot log on at all.. I have contacted some of my friends my acct has been deactivated..Do I need to set up a new one.. i mean thats so not rite..I sent a password reminder and that worked i got my password so im still in the system somehow. So far I love the new changes. Seems its much more easier to edit profile and add pictures. I had not problem signing on to BON like everyone else. I use FIREFOX, maybe thats why. Don’t know. Hope everyone else has better luck

So far the new changes have upset a lot of people. The changes have made BON more like Facebook than ever before, and the folks who are on BON don’t want to be on Facebook.
The new changes lack privacy, which should be your top priority with any social network site. People should have the abilities to block or allow certain features, like the ability to post on others’ walls. The owner of the page and the poster should also have the ability to delete any post, or any comment posted on their wall.
“These updates are always a tricky processes. New features can work fine during the testing phase but when pushed out live can reveal some problems.” Sorry, but this comment is just plain BS. I am a software and api tester, and know full well that if the site is QA’d properly things will be caught in testing. I understand bugs will get out, but blatant lack of security or ability to remove comments/posts, is just poor development.
Your developers need to pull their heads out of their asses and realize that your target audience is not a bunch of teenage girls, but real people who don’t need a bunch of extra bull shit. If we wanted that we would stick to FB.
