What happened to my profile page?
All of the information that used to be on your profile page can now be found on the More Information Tab.
How do I log out?
The logout link is now under the Account option on the upper left side of the top navigation bar.
Profile Background
To change the background of your profile we have added a simple feature where you can put any URL and use that image as the background of your profile.
Where is the Old Wall?
The Old Wall, although popular at one time, was becoming less and less used by members and posed an enormous security threat to members. A decision was made to phase out the wall with this update.
Again, I encourage you to leave comments and report any bugs or concerns with the new design.

The profile page is now the comments/feed page…. The comments should only be between friends, not available to all un sundry to read through and comment on… even facebook doesnt do this… Yes, we could all make out profiles private.. but whats the point of being on here then… we should be able to make our feed/comments private..
And again the ‘more information’ needs some work doing to it.. its messy… its like reading a long sentence, you should be able to write in paragraphs, it makes it easier to read that way.
And the next time you decide to make changes, would it not be a good idea to give us some advance warning … i didnt like the way my date of birth and year were visible to everyone, so I quickly changed it, and I deleted some of my comments which I didnt want everyone reading… There are pople whohave not logged onto BON yet and dont realise this information is now availble to everyone

I do not like the new format. Before I started my day with making a home page comment and then commenting a on friends posts. As people commented on my posts I could see the number under comments. I would go to my profile and open feeds to see which comment they posted on, now I do not know which feed was commented on and it takes me longer to do what was fun and easy before. I did not like to see my birthdate out front and emediately changed that. I did not like the friends pictures at the top of my profile. I could not access a few of the other changes yet; however, what I could access I did not like. This is the only social site that I am able to do because I am a full time on-line student and it was quick and easy to socialize on. To me the question is, if it worked why fix it? Please consider restoring the site it has been a real joy to me up until now.

These changes are ridiculous, it is just a plaster over of Facebook, I enjoyed the individuality of the BON page and work hard over a long time to get it where I wanted it, It said who I am and what I am about at first glance, No one had to click on this or look there to find the message I had set up to represent Myself. Your changes absolutely and unconditionally suck. I also feel it is invasive and presumptuous of you to make changes to our pages with out at least a beta run to find out what the general populace thinks. You guys may be the builders/ administrators, but this site and the individual pages belong to the people that put them there and you have no right making sweeping changes with out at least running it past us for an opinion. The only thing I can think of for this kind of disregard for the thoughts and wishes of the members of this site is that you are trying to decimate your membership.
If I have to use something that looks like Facebook I might as well use the real thing and and forget about BON altogether. I assure you this is the way many if not most of your members will feel.

This is just terrible now. The site was just fine before you decided to change it. Our profiles are no longer private. It still show things others that are not friends read and comment on. This SUCKS BIG TIME!!! I am really considering deleting my account. I know you could care less because you don’t get anything for me being on here. If you wanna copy other sites do it on your own. Put BON back the way it was.

1) You are forcing us to provide a Relationship Status? I preferred mine blank, as I don’t qualify for any of your listings.
2) Private should mean PRIVATE. People can see my date of birth, town, relationship status, etc.
3) When I comment on one of my own comments, it shows under notifications as if I got a new comment. Those notifications should be from my Friends comments, on my comments.
4) When I do get a new comment, it is a b*tch trying to find which feed has been commented.
5) I can’t see my own comments on my Home page. The feed should be all on the same page, not my feed on my profile page. This only complicates the communication from the members. AND, it makes the site more cumbersome.
6) I oppose the new format for the Profile Heading, where I have to read a whole paragraph before I figure out if someone owns there own biker or not, or what state they are in. That IS the biggest Facebook resemblance..yuk.
7) I like that you moved the friends that are online up on the left colume. Good choice.

I just want you to show me the comments that are posted when I click on the notification that I have a comment. Now we have to search for our comments. I get a lot of comments from like 6 posts back sometimes and now I have to search for where the comment was posted.

Our Old Profiles Give our Pages Attitude and what one is about as far as Our Choice of back grounds or music. I agree it is much like Face Book. It has no class its boring, as in Face Book they are changing things every day to the point of loosing people. This is a social network for like minded people, If there is a security issue this should be resolved on your end, as I am on other sights as well where you can not Right click on any thing, or have music or bling, but the sight is made up of their own idea, and different ways of interacting with people. Please Reconsider this Move…. Thank You…

Cant edit profile unless you put a ‘relationship status’, I dont want to put a relationship staus, im happy with it being blank..
I have just spent an age looking for a comment after getting a notification, only to find out (after frying my brain) that it was a comment to something I’d written on a ‘group page’ and not on my feed.
Did someone pay BON to make these changes… is BON trying to get everyone to leave?!?!? im starting to wonder!

Why Do I have to Click Twice to get to profile page??? Why not the way it was. You Clicked Twice to get the Feeds.

I Keep Track of my friends and if I click on and see if someone is missing or I have a new one I cant find who it is! WHY????

The new site is terrible. I hate it. The profiles do not make any sense. The wording is all scrunched up into one giant nonsensical run on sentence. It looks like shit!!!
The way you have the pictures/albums arranged is more difficult to look at and understand as well.
I do not at all like the comment feed or what ever it’s called….
Why’d you ruin the site?? Put it back the way it was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I went to profile and I can not read it, since it is in YELLOW type. You have to highlight it in order to read it…besides so many other problems with the site. NO LONGER user friendly. If the page was the issue, then make 1 page that can be read easily and give us back our other features.

I truly think that the wall feature was a good one for many of us to keep in touch with friends without emailing them, and letting them know some of our feelings, and where we are both physically and emotionally.
Eliminating the photo comments for all to see is not a good thing. If you want to eliminate the top photo section, that is understandable, because some use it as a popularity contest or as a way to expose themselves. We should however, be able to see all the recent comment on pictures without having to go to each and every friend, or other BON members account to see their pictures and make comments.
Not having to join an event to comment on it, is a good option to have, because many of us might want to go to an event, ride, or activity, but can not because of family, work, or being out of town, and we should have the option of commenting without joining that activity, making it look much larger then it truly is, and giving the impression that we are going to be there.
Maybe having some of us that have been here for some time, do a test run for your potential changes, would be beneficial to you, and allow us to give some input from the local biker, at how things might serve all of us better.

When I try to use the search function and look at a persons profile, it won’t go back to the search I set up. It goes back to the point where I have to set up all the perameters again. Change it back please.

The home screen doesn’t bother me but the rest I have issues with. When I click on profile, it should take me to my profile (more information as you now call it). If I want to go to what you now call the wall, I will click on it. When I click on new comments, I expect it to go to the wall screen AND have it easy to see the new comments. This has always been cumbersome for some comments ie: on photos. I would prefer the top of the profile to look like it used to. Status should be optional and displaying birthday should be optional also. You worry about the security risk of the old wall, but display birthdays now. Also, anybody can comment on your wall whether they are a friend or not unless, I assume, you block them. With as much of a facebook look as the site has gotten, give some privacy too. Let us decide who can comment without having to make our entire profile private. I typically don’t friend people with a private profile unless I know them through another friend.

There is a bug with the “Search” on the main page. If you put in your zipcode, select say within 100 miles and UNCHECK any of the status’, the search fails to bring up any members. However, if you re-check them and hit search, they suddenly appear. Please get this corrected.

Just a suggestion…but maybe switch out the “more information” with the “profile” page. Usually when you go to look at someone’s profile you’re not looking to see their feed but their information.
Also…Please bring back the “Block” button. I can view blocked users but cannot locate where to block any potential crazies.

why cant we get our original profiles back. I had tons of very cool things I added there, videos and photos and such I wanted there. took years to get it the way I wanted it, it was more than ONE SIMPLE picture. with this format I see nothing different than facebook or myspace. no reason to be on here. PLEASE change it back. I thank you for changing the photo loading however.

You lost the who’s on line search feature.It now shows all not who’s on nor does it any longer give distance.We were mostly all happy with the old set up.

I for one am not on Facebook so I really have no idea what it looks like but I did like being able to see friends comment/status and miss it. I also liked the old photos tab with further links to top photos and the search photos. I understand change is inevitable but there has been way to much lately and most of it not for the good.
Great site otherwise and hope to see it improve. Thanks for letting me vent. Anyone in the Branson, Missouri area hiring? Still looking for work. Will take anything.

The new format of BON is terrible. The so-called profile page is so unattractive as to make me want to leave the site. And my birthdate is the first thing you put out there? That’s the FIRST thing a person see’s looking at my profile?!!! Are you kidding me? What was the point of making an artistic expressive page of who I am when all a person see’s is my header comments. And to top it off my original profile page is totally screwed up. I also saw my playlist of music is gone. I’ve no idea how the BON admin could view this change as an improvement to the site. It sucks!!! If I wanted toi belong to Facebook or Twitter I’d have done so on my own thank you…. Only a web geek coulda thought this was a great change! Perhaps BON forgot we’re bikers first!

I feel you will lose a lot of subscribers, which not only affects you, but it affects the members also. Our friends will disappear, and it will be harder and harder to find new friends…after all, isn’t that what this site was supposed to be about…bikers having a place to meet friends?
I am not happy. I am looking at other alternatives, as others are. I believe you have started down the road that Myspace went down. Soon, you will be right next to them at the bottom of the barrel.
I enjoyed the music, the wall posts, and I really liked the top pics of the week etc. I also can’t understand why rankings have disappeared, and why we can’t have a chance to get our profiles on the opening page, like we used to have. Why should we bother approving pics and earning Bon Bucks, which are useless? We have better things to do than police your website for free, or with no incentive.
I’m sorry, but the changes are not appreciated. Why not ask people what THEY want? Maybe place a poll out here for us to give our input…after-all, we are the ones using this site every day…without us, you will have nothing

I know it will not change but now when you see COMMENTS – it doesn’t show you where the comments are – so if you have commented on a fan page and someone replied / or if someone commented on your status – hard to find where the comment is…At least before it would open up to at least one of them!
Also, when I comment on my own status – it tells me I have a comment! Thats driving me nuts!

Why fix something that is not broke. Sour grapes to you at bon head quarters.It was bad enough that you would shut the site down for whatever,but it is really screwed up now.
A lot of benefit rides generated from bon and social rides.
Put it back the way it was.
The only thing you changed that is ok is the friends on the left before the adds.
Fix it or a lot of people will be leaving.

Hey there. I have been here a couple of years. I have a dear friend on here an he sends me wonderful poetry on my wall and because he travails a lot this is how I know he is OK. He will send me a poem and that lets me know that he is fine, so I do not like that, but you say that it is a security risk so thank you. I also don’t like putting my info on here. date of birth an filling out everything, that give us a ice breaker to talk about what is missing. So why do we have to do all of this

Why can’t I make any changes to my profile. When I go into the section of Interest’s, Activities, Movies, Music etc…I make my changes & click update. Then I get a message in red letters saying there was an error. NO SHIT! Nothing changes & I still have the same profile. Even when I deleted everything in the whole page & click update, it didn’t work & I still have the same profile.
Also keeps telling me I have comments, but I see none. Where are they?????????

I’m glad that the wall was removed. I’m very unhappy about not having my music anymore, and trying to edit the profile and have a wallpaper installed is a serious pain in the ass. I have to type in a url? Seriously? Why can’t I just upload a jpg? That really sucks.
Overall I like the streamlining better.

you have taken away everyone individuality of their own profile page, you hid it under “More Options” this is what ppl liked and now the pages are dull with the news feeds that no one cares about. also riding group pages that had their profiles set up so anyone can get a feel of the group, bars that had their own pages setup so ppl can see who and what …… this was not a good change, this will effect BON in a big way and many are thinking about leaving because of this. bikers and riding is about freedom, and right here right now you have taken that away from everyone, PROFILE PAGES SHOULD NOT BE MESSED WITH.

People worked very hard, to “individualize” their profile pages. To be able to hear what music one would choose, to see their colors & their photos, right up front, as WELL as “their garage”… this is what a ‘social networking site’ should be.
We all look like “clones” now…. no different than most other sites… you changed what people appreciated MOST about this site.
I can see where you want to change format for advertising… add it on the sides of what existed. Remove the wall… most really don’t care about that. Just PUT BACK our front page, with our work, our colors, our music playlist & the bikes… the rest, we can work with. PLEASE.

When you search who’s online, if you click on a profile to see one person/message someone, it does not go back to the specific zip code/miles/age search, everything must be re-entered each time. How do you go back without starting all over.

I don’t mind most of the changes that you have made, we’re human and will adapt. But I do not understand why you decided to remove the “Top Photos” section. Out of all the things that was on this site, I would say that top photos and chat were the most popular, now we only have chat. Is there any chance that we will see “Top Photos” return?

I must question your motives behind these changes because if you were concerned with our security, you would not publish our birthdate! With a persons name and birthdate, someone could have a hell of a leg up to steal our identities. Think about it…

When I open someone’s album and click on a picture to zoom it, the zoom feature some not work.
On the old BON when you opened someone’s profile their city and state of residence was plainly listed, then you knew if they were within a reasonable distance to invite / schedule a ride with.
This new setup sux.

I am trying to figure out who suggested you make these changes. So I have a few ideas.
1. You contacted the head honcho at Netflix for his opinion on what changes needed to be made. (Oh yeah, I just received an e-mail apology from him about his mistakes in making the drastic changes.) By the way, he has already lost 1 million customers.
2. You contacted Facebook and asked them how BON could be just like their site.
3. Elvis? (He really has left the building).
4. Every internet dating site.
5. Anyone who didn’t currently have a BON profile.
6. You hired new tech support that was outsourced to India? Because isn’t that where most American jobs gets replaced?
I may be from Missouri, but BON’s new site is definitely “Misery!”
Pay attention to all of the requests/complaints that you have been receiving, or BON may end up DOA.

I am very disturbed with the changes made to this social net work , and the effect that it’s had on house of members and this National Event that I speak of. The forming of this National Event began here on BON,and grew from the Freedom of social opportunities you offered, With these changes, ride and event pages were lost,and are still not retrievable.Change doesn’t work well when brought on with forces,without agreement. When I get a comment I have to search through all my feeds to find out who left comment where. I have 1 comment that I still can not find and it keeps telling me I have a comment. Before when we hit comment button it would take us to the feed that had the comment this needs to be back the way it was.l

Like a lot of people on here I do not care for the new format. It’s totally screwed up. I tried doing a back ground again and it didn’t work and who in the hell did the intros. Mine says I ride a & Kawasaki whych is my daughters bike not mine. I’ll wait a few more days to see if you listen to all the disatisfied people or not. If it stays the way you now have it you can bet that not only myself but a lot of other peole will close of there accounts. If I wanted a facebook account I would done one there. I wasn’t happy back when the events pages were changed. Adding the map and taking away HTML made the events boring and cookie cutter for those of us who can make a great colorful eye catching event page.
The new format is the same. I can live with it, but my formatting has been been taken away. And the background URL thing does not work. I can do the HTML to add my own…but this new one does NOT work. I get one thin piece of a tile far to the right under an ad. I really liked the old BON format better when I had more control over my own content. Now I can’t even change the font color or size.
I realize this is NOT a biker site but a SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE for people who ride. Says so right in the terms. But the one thing I liked about it iwas that I could make it personal and unique to me. It’s getting more and more like Facebook with every change.

I would perfer to have my profile page the way it was…not having my feeds as public like this…I liked it when only my freinds could read my feeds and they had to look at my profile FIRST!!!…I don’t want freindrequests seeing everythign first…I never used my WALL anyway so feel free to take it away …I like the new event/ride pages you made a few months back but the rest of the site was fine the way it was…this new format is terribly confusing…I lost 3 full albums of pictures to this change…I canot get my messaging to work correctly…I cannot find or see my comments…when I click on commnets it take me to my home page and I have to search for them most times never finding them…we used to just click comments and i took us right to the most recent ones…this is the way the button should work!!…I cannot see any of my frineds pictures or albums when I click photos any longer…now it takes me to my own…I can look at those anytime I wnat too…I want to see what has been posted NEW!!… WE liked the way the whole phots section WAS…UUGGHHH there’s SOOOOOOOOOO much more…my head is swimming…I’ll have to get back to you after I make a list of the things that DO NOT work. PLEASE PUT IT BACK AND LEAVE IT ALONE!!!

The WALL is not what causes security issues in BON, the fact that you allow infinite people to use the same screen name is what causes security issues!!! Address that and people would not be cloning people and causing them and others problems!! I am not sure how you ever decided you could run a social network, but you would think that at least yyou would follow some tried and true ways! The profile part of your network WAS the only think that worked well, lord knows USERPLANE is probably the WORST chat platform to exist, ever thought of trying to get that fixed instead of ruining what does work?? You really need to look at your priorities and quit messing with what does work!!!!
P.S. Thank you for wrecking graphics I spent hours creating as this new ^%** platform cut them in half etc.

Haven’t had a chance to really work with this new format due to technical issues on my end. BUT, what I wanna suggest is a real time chat between friends. Like how FB has their IM feature. It gets frustrating trying to chat through messages because you don’t get a reply right away, which also wastes time if trying to discuss a last minute ride or what not. But, I will say, I do prefer BON over facebook mainly because of the maturity of the users.

The messages could be made a little more user friendly by possibly having the read/saved messages stay on that when a message is read and saved from the read/saved portion of the messages and not jump back to the inbox of messages. I get tired of having to go back to the saved messages to read another message to make sure I want to keep it.

I don’t agree with doing away with the wall. All my friends & I have connected with nice graphics for every occasion. What happened to top pix also? Now when someone comments on your pic you have to go to your pix & find out what was said. I broke my profile trying to figure out what the hell happened to it. All my graphics, etc, were pushed to the left side so that one could hardly see them. I took out what seemed to be miles of codes & now have to start all over agian to get it back. My background layouts aren’t working right & I don’t understand what you mean with ‘Edit my profile design.” What was wrong with anything that you had to make such a drastic change? Put it back, this isn’t FB or whatever. I loved this site because it wasen’t like the rest!!!!!!!!!!!!

Event & Ride Search feature use to be my fav. when i joined 6 months or so ago. Its been changed,and doesnt show hardly anything. Ill search for 25 or 50 miles away, and itll show 1 or 2, then alot of stuff hundreds of miles away. The ongoing event option was especially good.
Ill check other ppls profile, and see they have runs or events planned, but doesnt show up in my search.
Please fix.

I really hate the new changes, I really hate the new site, I really hate having every post I’ve ever wrote on my home page, I really think its too much like facebook which I stopped using and deactivated from. I agree with the 99% of my fellow BON members that the new BON site SUX. While I think I understand why the top photos and forums were dropped, I find it disappointing. I was probably as disturbed as anyone by the group of neanderthals who took over the forums, and used the top photos to ridicule people and the juvenile sniping at one another. Still, there were a few interesting forum threads, and I wish that feature had been kept, perhaps with some means to filter out the truly objectionable contributors.

Why am I receiving so many spam messages attempting to lure me away to other sites by alleging that there is a female member interested in me but that she would prefer communicating on another site. Can these be filtered with a spam setting?

Hello, Neat post. There is an issue with your site in web explorer, may test this? IE still is the marketplace leader and a large component of other folks will miss your fantastic writing due to this problem.

Your children might enjoy this depending on their ages. It’s a good way for them to learn to follow directions. The whole thing was fun from start to finish. Be creative and crazy! Then look at the other stickmen that were drawn. I believe they are on the left side as a tab.
