Back during the Christmas season, we introduced you to the amazing acapella band, Home Free. And we are so glad we did, because fast forward a few months, and they’re covering Keith Urban’s new song “Blue Ain’t Your Color“, and you have to hear it. We love Keith Urban, right? We’re going to develop some real love for Home Free today too! The boys of Home Free added a sweet Motown twist to the song, which rose to popularity rapidly when it was released by country hottie, Keith Urban.
“When we first heard the song, we knew that we had to make a Home Free arrangement.”
Says Home Free tenor, Rob Lundquist. Tim Foust, who provides the band’s amazing bass tones, says,
“As we were arranging the song with our producer Darren Rust, it began to take on an old-school Motown feel. So we tried to capture that vibe with our music video as well. It was a blast bringing that twist to a killer country song.”
And we are so thrilled the band decided to spin the song in their own personal way, because it is a whole lot of new music for us to love!
Listen to Home Free’s cover of Keith Urban’s “Blue Aint Your Color”, as well as the original song by Urban himself, and tell us which one you favor more than the other. We can’t decide, seriously, we love them both so, so much! What other songs would you like to see Home Free cover? Do you have any favorites that they’ve already done!
