Actor Alan Thicke Dead at Age 69

This week, we suffered another great loss in the death of 80’s sitcom dad, Alan Thicke. He was best known for his role as Jason Seaver in the 1980’s tv series “Growing Pains“. He was just 69 years old. He was playing hockey with his 19 year old son Carter, on Tuesday, December 13th, when he suffered a fatal heart attack. He was also the real-life father of musician Robin Thicke, as well as a third son, Brennan. He was survived by his sons and his wife Tanya.

He shaped television for decades, starring in many different television series and movies – including Married…With Children, The Bold and The Beautiful, How I Met Your Mother, and most recently, Netflix’s Fuller House. Born on March 1, 1947, Alan began his acting career in 1969, and later on was inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame. He also hosted several game shows, many talk shows, and wrote some of the most famous TV show theme – those for “Diff’rent Strokes“, “Wheel of Fortune“, and “The Facts of Life“.

According to Entertainment News provider TMZ, Alan and his son Carter were “on the ice around 11 AM when he started having chest pain, then got nauseous and vomited. The ambulance picked him up around 11:30 and took him to the hospital.” Remember Alan Thick with this tribute video below.
