It is no secret that the motorcycle community has come together on several different occasions to make a difference in their communities – so today at BON, we’re asking you to join forces to help support a 3 year old boy, who was just diagnosed with a life-threatening cancer. 3 year old Abel is a bright, beautiful, and brave boy who lives in Central New York, with his mom, Jen. What Jen thought was going to be a quick trip to Urgent Care for a simple belly ache turned into a mother’s worst nightmare, when it resulted in her little boy being diagnosed with Stage 3, High Risk, Neuroblastoma.

Childhood Neuroblastoma is a malignant tumor that begins in the nerve cells outside the brain of infants and children. It can start in the nerve tissue near the spine in the neck, chest, abdomen, or pelvis, but it most often begins in the adrenal glands. Abel, being stage 3, means that his tumor is inoperable at this time; though doctors are hopeful that they will be able to eradicate (most of) it following several rounds of chemotherapy treatments. Abel has just begun his first rounds of chemotherapy to fight the disease. The community that Abel and mom Jen live in, have rallied together to raise money for Abel’s medical treatments, creating a GoFundMe page for donations, and scheduling many events to help support Abel and his family during this incredibly tough time.

Abel’s story even got the attention of celebrity Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who shared the GoFundMe page via his Twitter account.

Today, we’re asking our amazing BON family to share Abel’s story – tell your friends and family, and if you can spare the money, to please donate to help Abel fight and beat a disease that takes so many lives. Donations can be made by clicking here; the link will take you right to the GoFundMe Page. You can follow Abel’s story and progress by joining his community support page on Facebook – all information about events and fundraising can be found there. Check out photos of little Abel in the gallery below, as well as his story from local news outlets, and feel free to leave your thoughts and prayers for his battle with cancer in the comments section below. We’d like to thank you, BON Family, for everything you do to help this little boy and make a difference in your communities.
