Motorcyclist Jonathan Daniels has been through quite a bit this year. On September 15, he was out riding his motorcycle with a couple of his buddies when a young kid pulled out in front of them. Only one person was injured in the crash – Jonathan. He bounced off the kid’s car, and was ejected into a telephone pole. He’d recently bought his girlfriend tickets to see country star Blake Shelton perform in New York, and thanks to the accident, they never made it to the concert. Jonathan took to Facebook earlier in November to reach out to Blake, and today, we’re going to be sharing that open letter from Facebook with you all, as well as Blake’s video response to Jonathan. This is a near-tragic story with a pretty fantastic ending.
Riding a Harley has always been a man’s thing, right? When you think of someone straddling that leather seat, gunning the throttle, and chasing the wind, you normally picture a man – the tattoos, the beard, the vest, the jeans, the boots….it’s an image that has been branded into our minds for years. Mainstream media, advertising, television….they’ve always portrayed motorcycles to be in the hands of a man. But that imagery is quickly changing, as more and more women are grabbing a hold of the handlebars – and the reasons why are just amazing.
This is *so* scary! A couple is taking a ride down the road on their motorcycle, the sun is out, traffic is light, there are a few other motorcycles on the road..it’s the perfect scenario for a nice, quiet, relaxing ride. They slow down, as the tractor trailer in front of them is coming to a stop, and the biker’s old lady puts her foot down to the pavement. For unknown reasons, the biker reverses, causing his old lady to lose her footing.
Nice bikers are everywhere. We’re sure you guys are nice bikers. As as your family and friends. Much like the guy in the video we’re sharing with you today, who was totally nice, and went above and beyond to help a driver in traffic….that is until the driver flipped him off. What the french toast?! He was just trying to help when he saw that the driver had left his wallet sitting atop his car, and picked it up out of the street when it had fallen off the car’s roof.
BMW, the German luxury vehicle manufacturer, has unveiled their newest motorcycle concept, and they have hopes that it’ll change the future of motorcycles. The concept bike has been named The Motorrad, and its focuses weigh heavily on balance, stylishness, technology, and safety. It’s a far cry from the traditional two wheels that we are all used to, as it comes with a pair of computerized goggles that let you select what you’d like to see on the road ahead.
The Binghamton Harley Owners Group (or HOGS) is a motorcycle group based in Central NY, and they’re a group of people who love both motorcycles and helping their community. Annually, since 1989, the HOGS have held a special event for Christmas, raising as much money as they can through the year, so they can go to the local toy store and get kids in need toys for putting under the tree. Since January of this year, they’ve raised $10,000 and took to their local Toys ‘R Us this week to make the very special purchases.
BON Family! We’re getting so close to Christmas! Less than 3 weeks now! That’s why today, we have to share this incredible video with you. A dude somewhere in this great nation of ours, or maybe even outside of it (we’re not sure, to be honest) really wanted to make a statement with his Christmas lights and decorations this year. So what did he do? Well, he rigged his lights to play along with Metallica’s “One”, from their 1988 Album, And Justice For All. Shared by 96.9 Rock FM, out of Athens, Greece, this video proves that nothing says Christmas quite like Metallica.
This totally isn’t something we see everyday! This video, originally posted by Viral Hog, has more than gone viral, with millions of views. A young man is riding his motorcycle peacefully; he slows to navigate a curve, and then…BAM! You see his bike get thrown out from underneath him! Shut the front door! What?! This really happened, as the motorcyclist was filming his ride with his GoPro attached to his helmet, and the worst part of it all? It was his own mom that hit his bike from behind.

So it’s pretty safe to say we know you guys and gals pretty well, right? We know that you don’t conform to the ideals and traditions of society, well, for the most part. So we know that spending hours upon hours slaving away over a turkey in the oven that’s just taking too long isn’t something that sounds like fun to you. You like motorcycles – which means also liking speed, and taking part in the more dangerous side of life – and while that’s more than ok with us, we also know that many of you will be tapping that inner speed demon this Thanksgiving, and deep frying your turkey. So today, we’re giving you tips on how to deep fry that delicious beast, without setting your garages or homes on fire, because after all, that’s where your Harley babies (and real babies) live. Turkey Day is less than a week away – so lets get to it!
Kevin Diepenbrock is a motorcyclist who is lucky to be alive. He was out on his motorcycle in rural Tennessee on Saturday, October 15th, travelling down a road known to locals as “The Dragon”. He was seriously injured after he wrecked his motorcycle along a stretch of the dangerous road, after he and his friend Phillip Polito crashed into each other. Polito was killed in the crash, but Diepenbrock was launched from his bike and sent tumbling over 100 feet downward, into a ravine – out of the sights of traffic.
It’s no secret that lately Harley Davidson has been worried about their bottom line. This past week alone has been an incredibly crucial week for the American-based motorcycle manufacturer, as stock analysts are only showing a 16% positive stock rating for the company, who holds the American stock title NYSE: HOG . For anyone who knows the stock market, you know this is good, but not great. Combine that with an already declining stock percentage and an overall earnings loss for the company, it’s somewhat bad news. That is why the financial experts over at Harley Davidson have come up with a new plan – extending customer financing services to India – a country that has yet to experience being able to finance the American-made motorcycle brand.
The Warrior Brotherhood is a motorcycle club like no other. It is a Veterans Motorcycle Club that has only one mission – to help other fellow American Veterans – to provide them with hope, a sense of future, and to give back to them what they’ve sacrificed for our great country. This Veteran’s Day, we are bringing you the heartwarming story of Ray Weser, a 101 year old United States Veteran and life-long motorcycle enthusiast from Arizona, who took his last Harley ride with a group of 50 motorcycles riding right behind him to honor him. Ray will turn 102 years old next month, and fell in love with bikes – specifically Harley Davidson’s – when he was just a teenager, many years ago. He went off to war shortly after discovering his love for motorcycles, but that never got in the way of his undying love and devotion toward his Harley.
