This week, the Daytona, FL Chamber of Commerce named artist Mathew Hintz as the official artist of Daytona Bike Week 2017. Hintz created the official poster for the 76th Annual Daytona Beach Bike Week with a distinctive layered-paint style, depicting a classic motorcycle fuel tank with a Florida palm tree reflected in the chrome gas cap. Hintz is the proud owner of his very own art studio, Hintz Studios, and has been creating beautiful pieces of motorcycle-inspired art for over 20 years.
Hintz was a graduate of the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, and has worked professionally as an artist for more than two decades. He has developed a unique impressionist-style of painting motorcycles and automobiles alike. His commissioned works are typically large in size, and they feature bold, heavy brushstrokes in oils over a sculpted base, capturing the spirit of the motorcycles and the open roads. From 2014 to 2016, Hintz was a licensed Harley-Davidson artist who produced pieces that were sold exclusively in Harley-Davidson dealerships. He has also created the original cover art for Harley-Davidson owner manuals from years 2008 to 2017.
