A female Army soldier riding at Rolling Thunder XXV stops to honor and pay respect to her fallen comrades.

This powerful video was taken at Rolling Thunder XXV Demonstration which takes place in Washington, DC on Memorial Day. Each year motorcycles and veterans gather at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA and ride through Washington, D.C. to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial to pay their respects to those who gave their lives and to acknowledge all POWs-MIAs.

“The major function of Rolling Thunder®, Inc. is to publicize the POW-MIA issue: To educate the public that many American Prisoners of War were left behind after all previous wars and to help correct the past and to protect the future Veterans from being left behind should they become Prisoners Of War-Missing In Action. We are committed to helping American Veterans from all wars. Rolling Thunder®, Inc. is a non-profit organization and everyone donates his or her time because they believe in the POW/MIA Issue that we are working on.” – Rolling Thunder, Inc Mission Statement

Groups of riders travel from all over to pay their respects, Rolling Thunder from California to Washington, D.C. and Rolling Thunder Flame of Freedom Ride from Shawnee, OK to Washington D.C. are two of the largest rides to the main event. Riders wear their Rolling Thunder commemorative patches and pins proudly – all benefitting POW-MIA and Veterans in need.

In the video below, an active duty female soldier stops her motorcycle and lays flowers at the feet of Sergeant Tim Chambers. Her small act of kindness, respect, and honor will leave you speechless. You can even hear some riders yell “Semper Fi” as they ride by.

“My heart swells when I see Rolling Thunder going to The Wall. Even more when I see Tim standing there again. He defines Semper Fi. I just choked on my coffee when I saw this. Well done.”

Here’s the comment left under the video by the soldier’s husband:

“Hey that’s my wife! We are both actually active duty Army, we try to go every year, she says SSG Chambers is an inspiration to all military, lots of people know the tiny female on the blue HD Sportster, I am actually on the black Dyna second bike behind her. Good job baby!”

This year, the Rolling Thunder, Inc. XXIX “Ride For Freedom” Demonstration will take place Sunday, May 29, 2016. For more information visit the Rolling Thunder website.

Much respect to all United States Military, past and present. Please watch and share this emotional video. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
