Kevin Diepenbrock is a motorcyclist who is lucky to be alive. He was out on his motorcycle in rural Tennessee on Saturday, October 15th, travelling down a road known to locals as “The Dragon”. He was seriously injured after he wrecked his motorcycle along a stretch of the dangerous road, after he and his friend Phillip Polito crashed into each other. Polito was killed in the crash, but Diepenbrock was launched from his bike and sent tumbling over 100 feet downward, into a ravine – out of the sights of traffic.

The road is called “The Dragon” because it is filled with sharp turns and twists, and is surrounded by a sharp cutoff, that leads to the ravine that Diepenbrock laid in, seriously injured, for 30 hours while he awaited rescue. During those 30 hours, he recorded three separate videos to tell his loved ones that he loves them and will miss them. In those videos, he apologizes profusely, for getting into the accident.

“I f***** up, that’s all I can really say. At about 10:30 this morning. Been laying here ever since. About 50 feet down in the ravine. I just wanted to say I love you guys. Sorry I was being stupid, but you know that’s what I do.”

He says, during the first video, as he struggles to breathe. As he struggles to make sense of what just happened to him.

Diepenbrock’s injuries consisted of two punctured lungs, 17 breaks in 12 of his ribs, and multiple spinal fractures. Watch all three of his heartbreaking videos below, and send him wishes of recovery and get well soon’s in the comment section below! Tell us how lucky you think Kevin is to be alive today!
