President Trump encourages Harley-Davidson owners to boycott motorcycle company

President Trump is encouraging Harley-Davidson customers to boycott the motorcycle company. The call for a boycott is in response to Harley’s recently announced plan to move more production from the USA to overseas.

Trump is against the decision. Harley claims this is necessary to avoid retaliatory tariffs the European Union is or will be imposing on American exports.

Harley estimates the newly imposed EU tariffs would cost the motorcycle manufacturer about 30-45 million in 2018 and up to $90-100 million for 2019.
