As bikers, we know that music is a humongous part of our community. Many of us bikers are also musicians, and are always experimenting with new sounds and new genres. So, have you ever been curious as to what it would sound like if bluegrass was mixed with thrash metal? The band The Native Howl actually did it, with their original song “Thunderhead” and the sound is incredible! It’s totally not like what we’d expect it to be!
From Rochester, MI The Native Howl is a Folk/Alternative band that consists of members Alex Holycross (guitar/vocals), Jake Sawicki (guitar/vocals), Mark Chandler (drums), and Joshua LeMieux (bass). Founded in 2013, the band is influenced by the sounds of Metallica, Led Zeppelin, The SteelDrivers, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Gasoline Gypsies, Neil Young, The Dave Matthews Band,Black Sabbath, and more.
